Provide professional services for patients and families, focusing on wellness and health promotion. Perform all duties necessary to promote an efficiently operated clinic. Provide physician leadership for compliance with the Rural Health Clinic Act.
PHYSICIAN JOB DUTIES
PEOPLE:
- Cooperates with other medical providers and nursing personnel to maintain good employee relations and meet all departmental objectives.
- Communicates clearly and accurately with patients, families, medical providers, and co-workers.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress.
SERVICE:
- Provide comprehensive primary care within the regulatory guidelines set by the State of Kansas and Rural Health Clinic Code of Federal Regulations including performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and prescribing and administering medical treatment and medications; collaborate with supervising Physician to plan and coordinate patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information and ensure patients’ right to privacy.
- Obtain patient health history and assess stated health of the patient to best determine health care need and document finding in the medical record.
- Perform complete screening examinations and routine examinations that will reflect the nature of the patient’s visit and support the diagnosis and plan while promoting good health.
- Order, perform, and interpret necessary diagnostic testing; notify and explain results as appropriate to patients.
- Perform accurate, legible, and timely chart documentation following RHC policies along with federal and state Medicaid and Medicare guidelines in the electronic health systems signing off all visits within timeframes specified in Medical Staff Bylaws. Use only standard approved abbreviations.
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
- Obtains appropriate referral to outside provider when necessary.
QUALITY:
- Attends Clinic Staff and Med Staff meetings as scheduled.
- Abide by individual physician supervision agreement.
- Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with clinic standards.
- Assures compliance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, etc.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Hospital will pay 100% of family health, dental, STD, and LTD.
- Hospital will pay Sign-On and Relocation Bonus.
- Paid CME
- Retirement - Hospital will contribute 5-10% after first year of employment.
- 4-Day Workweek with one Saturday morning per month.
- 1 in 4 ER call coverage (one day/week, one weekend/month)
- Ability to perform C-Sections with privileges at Hospital.

Pay: $275,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
