Escrow Officer at Trust One Escrow

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced full-time, independent escrow officer to oversee all aspects of real estate closings. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the issuance of title policies with title examiner
- Create and deliver closing settlement packages to agents, buyers, sellers, brokers, and lenders
- Disburse escrow funds accurately and complete administrative tasks such as reporting
- Ensure all terms and conditions of the purchase agreement are being completed timely and accurately
- Make sure to review all paperwork including title commitments, purchase and sale agreements, and lender instructions to prepare for closing
- Assure all escrow transactions and escrow accounts are handled in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Conduct professional interaction and coordinate with industry contacts such as loan officers, underwriters, realtors, brokers, buyers, and sellers
- Make yourself visible to a large group of Realtors and promote our services
- Leverage our resources and your time to nurture relationships that generate new escrow business
- Run a Sale and Refinance from opening to closing
- Answer questions and give direction to the Processors and Assistants
- Have full knowledge of the Escrow process and be able to resolve situations, issues, and problems that may arise
- Delegate workload to Assistants and other staff
- Review workload daily to ensure work is being completed on time or in a timely manner and that no team member is overwhelmed
- Handle all customers and/or phone calls that exceed the capabilities of the Assistants
- Ensure that your entire unit is delivering excellent customer service
- Provide training to the Assistants to ensure their opportunity for advancement
- Be aware of, and resolve, all situations that arise and escalate to management, when appropriate
- Closes escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds
- Comply with regulatory requirements and company policy by adhering to and enforcing adherence, to DFPI requirements
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of real estate closing escrow transactions experience with residential sales, REO, refinance, short sale escrow, or commercial
- High school diploma required — work experience or college degree preferred
- Firm understanding of real estate law, title and insurance, company policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Must possess proficiency in escrow / title software
- Understanding of mortgage loans, title commitments, title insurance, and real estate contracts
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must
- 3+ years of verifiable experience as an Escrow Officer
- Bilingual is a must (Spanish/English)

- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good client relations and organizational skills
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information
- Ability to deal with multiple types of roles such as real estate sellers, buyers, agents, and brokers
- Must pass DFPI and DOJ Background Check
