We have an immediate opening for a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work on heavy and agricultural equipment. Our heavy equipment covers a broad range of logging and road building equipment, ag tractors, orchard sprayers and harvest equipment.
This position is fulltime. Passing a pre-employment drug screening and a current, valid driver’s license is required, reliable transportation, Class A is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Prioritize safety while working and time management to complete jobs on time and safely.
- Diagnostic, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles. Repairs will occur both in the field and in our shop.
- Perform the necessary services, preventative maintenance, repairs, replacements, installations or re-building of parts to restore various heavy equipment to proper working condition.
- Repairs may include diesel engines, gas engines, drive train, air brake systems, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic systems, tires, welding and fabricating, light machining, and more
- Accurately record service recommendations and services completed.
- Ability to work professionally as an individual and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, experience with logging and/or agricultural equipment is a preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid CA driver’s license, Class A preferred but not necessary
Physical Requirements:
- This position included filed work in forested environments and can include long hours, difficult terrain and adverse weather. A successful candidate needs to be fit and able enough to periodically walk steep inclines and may need to lift 75+lbs
Compensation
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The rate of pay is $34-$38 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
