One of my FinTech clients is gearing up for a 2 year growth phase. They are hiring for a Sr Data Analyst. This is a newly created role which will have strong exposure & interaction with the executive team. My client is moving from a off prem MSP data architecture to a 100% cloud environment via Cloudera. One of the competitive advantages my client has in the market: they are the largest data aggregation big data analytics platform. 80% of the largest financial institutions in their space use the platform / core clients. In addition, because their product is a SaaS the business is recession proof & the strategic partnerships are long term agreements.
In this role, you will be at times be client facing helping strategic key partners.
Responsibilities
· Work with the Cloudera solutions team to transition client data to support and analyze functions to internal resources ( cloud tools on Cloudera and Salesforce )
· Assume data support responsibilities with Cloudera to troubleshoot any production issues
· Coordinate with Senior Manager, Data Operations and Senior Manager, Information Quality to assess operational needs
· Partner with the internal leadership teams to establish a new operations model focused on data management, re-mapping, data ingestion/integrity + validation
New Operational Model
· Engage with external clients to ensure all steps of the data on-boarding process are completed successful and efficiently
· Lead data maintenance and remapping efforts by coordinating with external clients & internal operational resources
· Actively monitor data ingestion process and escalate opportunities for data quality enhancements to appropriate senior manager
· Serve as the SME on structure and formats for data assets
Required skills
Strong analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
5+ years experience background in data management / operations systems in an agile environment is a plus
Proven background participating in large scale initiatives and being self-motivated with little need for oversight
Please note this role is 100% remote but the hiring client does require all team members to meet up in person 2 - 3 times per year. They like to have the entire company meet in person a few times a year for large project kickoffs and team building. It's roughly a 20 person company. And this has been a client of mine for nearly 5 yrs & the last 9 hires have all come via my recruiting efforts.
Compensation package: Base salary, solid benefits, 401k match, good PTO, flex hours, remote and a profit sharing plan paying 10-20% consistently for 10 yrs. They have grown revenues and team headcount for 8 straight years.
Please note: all candidates must live in Columbus, Ohio or Ohio. No relocation will be provided.
