Position Overview:
The Examination Manager is a member of the Compliance department, responsible for managing State, Federal, and Agency exams for CrossCountry Mortgage. The Examination Manager meets with examiners, facilitates production requests, collaborates with business stakeholders, and maintains examination records.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory examiners and auditors.
Coordinate and oversee the preparation and submission of documents and information requested during of federal, state, and agency examinations.
Receive initial examination requests and facilitate the response to inquiries regarding examinations; manage the processing of requests, draft comprehensive and accurate responses to information requests and potential findings from examiners.
Investigate and validate potential findings during the course of examinations, reporting results to the Regulatory Affairs Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
Ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.
Partner with designated internal departments and relevant stakeholders to extract required information to produce loan files.
Manage multiple examinations in business units across various states simultaneously.
Prepare and create reports that reflect examination results, interact with internal teams as necessary to draft responses for the review of the Regulatory Affairs Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
Maintain and analyze the documentation, data, and previous reports of examinations; maintain examination roster in detail.
Attend examination exit interviews.
Review findings on previous examinations to mitigate repeat violations and future findings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Minimum 3 years’ applicable experience with mortgage lending examinations.
Knowledge of lending laws and regulations and the legislative and regulatory agency process.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
