Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) is a national charitable organization whose mission is to improve the oral health of people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile and have no other way to get help. DLN accomplishes its mission by developing and coordinating collaborative relationships with volunteers and other direct-service programs to serve our population efficiently.
DLN is seeking applicants for a full-time (40 hours/week) Donated Dental Services (DDS) Coordinator to join a high performing team and work out of our office located in LoDo. This position will provide case management for individuals who are disabled, elderly, or medically fragile, and cannot afford or access comprehensive dental treatment for severe dental problems. This is an entirely office and phone-based position.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts telephone intake interviews to determine eligibility based on program qualifications.
- Provides ongoing support for volunteer dentists and dental laboratories.
- Monitors progress during patient’s dental treatment. Provides coaching and support for patients and their families.
- Navigates difficult situations with patience and compassion.
- Coordinates needed donations to complete the patient's needed care.
- Maintains relationships with referring agencies for patient outreach.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with clients, volunteers, Dental Lifeline Network staff, and key stakeholders to assure program goals are met.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other human services field.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations such as people with disabilities, developmental disabilities, persistent mental illness and the elderly.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Ability to work independently, be goal oriented, and have a high degree of organization.
- Proficiency in different computer programs, such as Microsoft Office products in Windows operating systems.
Pay for this position starts at $22.50/hour, depending on experience.
