We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with 1+ years of ground-up, wood-frame multi-family or commercial project management experience to join our growing team in Dallas. The Project Manager’s role has a broad scope and touches all aspects of a construction project. This person must be able to work cross-departmentally and with a wide variety of people including sub-contractors, team members and vendors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the field and project teams successfully and collaboratively.

Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, Construction Managers, project team, consultants/architect/engineers, subcontractors, adjacent community, trade unions, and governmental agencies.

Actively participate in project buy-out and formalizing subcontractors.

Review all project documents, including project submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings, for completeness and accuracy.

Assist Superintendent with initial project set-up including site logistics.

Create and enforce a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Superintendent.

Involved in project financials, billings, and cost procedures.

Participate in team meetings, owner/architect meetings, and safety audits presenting job cost, scheduling updates and project status reports at regular intervals.

Manage project closeout.

Other related duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Construction Management or related field
-
1+ years of experience in the construction industry.

Past experience should include multi-family or commercial projects
-
Project experience should include projects greater than $15M

Candidates must have a solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, contract management, planning and scheduling, budgets, building products, and relevant technology. This position requires a high level of fluency reading plans, specifications, and related project documents. Key competencies are leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, managing for results, and coaching & mentoring.
