Job Summary:
The Person in Charge plays in integral role in store operations by ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers by maintainingan efficient check out process and thorough and accuratecash control methodsto maintainthe store’s financial integrity. The Person InCharge oversees front end operations by managing and organizing department resources to ensure that customer service and work floware administered according to company standards. They also perform theimportantroleof resolving customer concerns and inquiresin the most positive and customer friendly manner while still following company policies.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Oversees and manages all front-end operations, including cash registers, customer service and checkout lines, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Trains and supervises front-end staff to ensureadhere to company policies and procedures and maintaininghigh standardsof customer serviceand profitability through accuratecash control methods.
Addresses customer concerns and issues providing resolutions that ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.
Monitors and maintainsinventory levels for the front-end, including supplies for cash registers, bagsand customer service materials to ensure availability and operational readiness.
Coordinates with store management and department leadership to facilitatesmooth operations including communication front-end logistical challenges.
Assistsin analyzingsales data and front-end performance metrics to identifytrends, areas for improvement and opportunities for increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Oversees the maintenance and cleanliness of front-end to ensure a positive customer impression at all times.
Follows, promotesand enforces all money handling procedures including buy backs, 91’s and maintainsseamless cash flow integrity through safe and drawer balancing processes.
Assistscashiers in counting out process by verifying till, all 91’s and final pull as well as providing final reconciliation report and overseeing accuracy of cash drops and reports.
Follows, promotesand enforces all safety policies and protocols to ensure a safe shopping experience for customers and working experience for employees.
Friendly and helpful customer serviceincluding navigating difficult situations with customers in an effort to diffuse conflict or customer concerns.
Performs all Combo Clerks duties as needed
Performs all other assigned duties as required.
Knowledge:
1 yearRelief Manager or Front endSupervisory experience preferred.
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
General knowledge to identifyproduce items.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent desired.
Basic math knowledge required
Familiarity with SNCR or Encore operating systems a plus.

Cash handling proficiency
Ability to lead and motivate store employees.
Able to adapt to flexibility needed with scheduling to meet customer and store
operational needs.

Physical Requirements:
Significantportion of shift is spent standing at checkstand terminal.
Must be able to handlegrabbing,scanningand lifting customer items as needed.
Proficiencyin 10 key adding machine.
Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using a keyboard, writing, or handling small objects.
Ability to retrieve customer items from other locations as needed (ie. items locked in liquor case or batteries, etc.)
Work Conditions:
Standard Work Hours: Vary, Weekend, evening and holiday availability, full timehours typically 8 hours a day.
Indoor Climate-Controlled Environment: Maintainedat a controlled temperature with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Primary work stationsare check stand POS, SCO and count room but may assistthroughout store location as needed.
Dress Code: Professional and presentable attire as determinedby store management including name tag, company issued shirts, hats, jackets as needed or personal shirts that are black, burgundyor blue that are not faded and in good repair.
