Overview:
We are seeking an Equipment Service Manager for the service department of our dealership. 10 or more years of service repair experience with good knowledge of equipment, diesel, hydraulic and electrical repairs is required.
Responsibilities:
- Service manager (desk position) works with shop foreman (working shop position) and technicians to ensure smooth operations in the service department of our dealership.
- Takes and makes phone calls for the equipment service department to answer customer questions, listen to customer issues, make appointments for repairs, give updates on repairs, get authorization for additional needed repairs, etc.
- Opens, writes and bills repair orders.
- Work with shop foreman and technicians to formulate repair quotes when requested and schedule equipment repairs to keep a manageable work-flow in the shop.
- Use past experience as reference to advise and teach less experienced technicians.
- File warranty claims and recoup warranty dollars in a timely and efficient manner for vendors such as Bobcat, Mahindra, Cub Cadet, Hustler Turf, etc.
- Manages and schedules technician training. Keeps technicians on track to become certified per manufacturer guidelines. Works with manufacturer service reps and technicians to formulate plans to achieve training goals.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and vendor specific service tool inventories needed for equipment repairs.
- Assists, along with foreman and general manager with the recruitment/ hiring/ review process.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Equipment repair or service management.
- Knowledge of equipment repair processes.
- Good working knowledge of Diesel engines, fuel systems, Hydraulic systems, electrical systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
