Position: Head Concrete Superintendent - Miami
Job Summary:
As the Head Concrete Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, and performance of our high-rise concrete projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will lead site operations, coordinate with various stakeholders, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of concrete construction for high-rise projects.
- Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate with construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and vendors.
- Delegate tasks, manage, and direct crews and staff to perform the work.
- Mentor and train junior staff, foremen, and crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, making necessary adjustments to stay on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and logs.
- Communicate project status updates to upper management.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, maintaining an elite standard for a safe work environment.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Concrete Superintendent in high-rise construction.
- Proven experience in "3 Day Cycle" production in high-rise concrete.
- Extensive knowledge of concrete systems and formwork systems.
- In-depth understanding of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
