Private Voice Instructor
San Marino Music Center is hiring for a voice instructor to add to our roster of music teachers. Prospective instructor will be working with students in a one-on-one setting and we are looking for a teacher who can be routinely available on a weekly basis.
This is a part time position and new instructors typically start with one day per week. The availability we are looking for is the following:
Weekdays between 3-8 pm or
Saturday between 9 am-1 pm or 1-5 pm
We are looking for instructors who are able to teach in-person, are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have experience teaching online through Zoom meeting. Educators must hold a music degree and should have a minimum of two years teaching experience on their instruments.
For the position, voice instructors will be expected to employ the use of age appropriate method books available at the Center. Teachers are also expected to help students learn music that is of their interest but within their vocal capabilities.

- Have you ever worked for a music studio or lesson house where students are scheduled for you on a back to back basis?
If so, in your previous experience, are you accustomed to dealing with gaps in your schedule due to student cancelations?
- Do you have a Visa that will allow you to work in the U.S.?
- For new teachers, we typically register students on an "as they come" basis. This means that you will build your roster of voice students one at a time. We organize our calendar by scheduling students back-to-back for a teacher's availability. Over time, a teacher will have a full roster of students for their listed availability.
