Job Title: Family Enrichment Center (FEC) Director
Compensation: $75-80,000 Annual Salary with Benefits
Location: Morningside/Hamilton Heights
Purpose: A socially-conscious company is seeking a Site Director to oversee a Family Enrichment Center in the Morningside/Hamilton Heights neighborhoods. The Family Enrichment Center program is family-centered, primary prevention model that provide community-designed supports in a warm, inviting home-like space where neighbors can connect, contribute to their community, find resources, support one another, and build strategies that help families thrive.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Family Enrichment Center in the Morningside/Hamilton Heights area with the goal of providing high-quality employment and job placement services while meeting and/or exceeding contract goals.
- Oversee program development and implementation.
- Oversee daily operations and handle issues as they arise.
- Hire, manage, and asses a team of staff members, ensuring each staff meet individual and team goals.
- Monitor contractual commitments, addressing areas of non-compliance and developing action plans to meet contract goals such as job placement and retention metrics
- Interact daily with underserved families to provide services.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders from multiple sectors, including community members, public officials, and public and private oganizations.
- Manage the budget and processes for collaborative hiring, training, and coaching of FEC team members.
- Create a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff, FEC participants, and parent and caregiver members of the Advisory Council, that is built on equity, inclusiveness, and non-hierarchical decision making.
- Maintain consistent communication with ACS FEC Program Management team to discuss progress and ensure that all contractual responsibilities are being adhered to.
- Support continuous learning activities to ensure adherence to the model, continuous feedback from community members about their perspective of the FEC, and continuous growth towards goals developed collaboratively with ACS, parent and caregiver members of the Advisory Council, and community members.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include:
- Master's Degree and five (5) years of professional experience
- Bachelor's Degree and seven (7) years of professional experience
- Knowledge of and/or lived experience in the target community (Morningside/Hamilton Heights)
- Supervisory and/or management experience
- Oustanding community organizing, collaboration, and advocacy skills
- Knowledge of/familiarity with one or more of the FEC frameworks (equity, co-design, Appreciative Inquiry, Family Protective Factors,) or other frameworks/approaches with similar components
- Understanding of city government and local systems
- Previous experience with case management, job development and adult education
- Experience in creating and delivering impact service plans for participants a plus
- Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgement and strong
- organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint preferred
- Experience and passion for serving individuals from disadvantaged and underserved populations, including but not limited to public assistance recipients, justice-involved individuals, persons with physical and/or mental disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness
