KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES
ó Must comply with all employee and food safety guidelines including LOTO, HACCP, PPE, and OSHA regulations.
ó Design, building and re-building of electrical panels up to 480 volts, three phase.
ó Periodically assist with electrical troubleshooting on production lines and advising on electrical repairs.
ó Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
ó Train and mentor junior electricians and/or general maintenance in electrical installations and troubleshooting.
ó Ensure compliance with regulations including arc flash, building code, and labeling of electrical panels.
ó Tracks and monitors electrical repair components and notifies Maintenance Purchaser/Maintenance Supervisor if supplies are needed.
ó Proactively looks for and identifies opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and food safety.
ó Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical wiring and systems.
ó Troubleshoot industrial control systems such as hydraulics, temperature control systems, and refrigeration.
ó Maintain power, lights, and building electrical systems.
ó Maintains all equipment in clean and fully functional manner.
ó Work safely by following guidelines for arc flash protection, fall protection, etc.
ó Accurately design, build, troubleshoot control wiring/circuits, relays, motor starters, timers, VFD devices, e-stop circuits.
REQUIREMENTS:
ó High school/GED required plus specialized training as an electrician.
ó Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ó Skilled with three-phase repair and installation.
ó Ability to move large equipment with either a hand jack or lift truck.
ó Willingness to work non-standard hours as required by business needs. Skilled trades works a 6-day schedule and has a day off scheduled during the week.
ó Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
ó Journeyperson certification preferred
ó Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
