Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in need, following established care plans and protocols.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in catheter care and medication administration.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Knowledge of assisted living principles and practices.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and recognizing abnormal readings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
