Freese and Nichols is currently searching for an experienced utilities engineer to lead water and wastewater related design projects in our Dallas office. The Engineer will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications and estimates for various pipeline and pump station projects. Candidate will work independently as well as plan and supervise work of teams of professionals and technicians. Qualified candidates must have strong writing and teamwork skills. The interest and ability to mentor junior staff is strongly desired. The position includes a high degree of client interaction and a commitment to client service. The role also encompasses business development activities including client service, proposal preparation, and marketing activities.
Qualifications
Experience with water and wastewater utility line, pump stations, lift stations, storage tanks, and project cost estimating.
Strong writing and teamwork skills as well as project and team management experience.
Experience in managing small and large-sized projects, preparing, and maintaining project schedules, tracking project financials, and preparing status reports.
Experience in client management.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering or applied science degree.
8+ years related experience.
Experience working with virtual teams across state and national geographies.
Professional engineer registration in the State of Texas or the ability to become licensed within six months.
