Your Role: The primary function of this role is to provide oversight and management of the project management team and direct executive leadership support to facilitate company initiatives, goals and timelines. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and drive program success from inception to completion.
What You'll Do:
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
- Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
- Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
- Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
- Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for stakeholders and leadership
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with stakeholders and leadership
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Communicate the overall/team project progress to stakeholders and leadership
- Define and assess project risks, both technical and non-technical, and effectively deploy mitigation plans
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Develop training plans and curriculum for the project management team
- Optimize and improve processes and the overall approach where necessary
- Support growth opportunities and facilitate new business and renewals
- Manage a large and diverse teams
- Evaluate and assess the result of a project
- Travel as required
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of proven working experience in project management or software project management
- PMP certification required
- Experience in leadership and management
- Proven ability to coach and mentor direct report staff
- Advanced Problem solving skills
- Advanced client facing soft skills, such as de-escalation and persuasion
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher highly preferred
- Proven stakeholder management experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to perform in high-stress situations
- Acute attention to detail
- Conflict resolution skills
- Presentation and public speaking skills
- Technical or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management
- Proficiency in project management software tools
- Able to deliver information as required and steer customers during the decision making process
- Able to grasp technical subjects and communicate technical requirements
- Able to develop, maintain and adjust projects based on defined project-specific budgets
