The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of raw materials, packaging, ingredients, finished goods, and supplies. Other responsibilities include the reordering of packaging, ingredients, and resale items, creating purchase orders, receiving product in the system, maintaining good traceability and assisting with the implementation of new systems to improve inventory accuracy and lot tracking.
What You Will Do At Acme:
- Assist with daily oversight of inventory receipts and transactions.
- Organize inbound deliveries and warehouse space.
- Perform inventory functions requiring the management of on-site warehouses by receiving packages, checking invoice accuracy, packing/re-packing, sorting, and organizing inventory.
- Ensure that inventory is maintained at good levels by performing inventory checks, analysis, making adjustments, and placing orders.
- Conduct monthly and weekly cycle counts.
- Assist with quarterly and annual physical inventory.
- Resolve problems with appropriate personnel associated with inventory maintenance, such as stock discrepancies and inventory system issues.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and compliance to internal and external requirements.
- Assist with cost comparisons and cost savings initiatives.
- Organize and locate inventory in databases and ERP. Track movement of quantities in ERP system through sales orders, returns, or inventory transfers.
- Maintain files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries.
- Train employees on proper inventory practices.
- Assist in implementation of full lot traceability program.
- Provide training as needed in inventory functions of ERP.
- Assist with creating training manuals for inventory controls, item maintenance, and ERP functions.
- Aid in the creation of periodic inventory reports and KPI monitoring.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
Your Education & Experience:
- Associate Degree (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in Inventory Control or relatable field.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to drive and operate a forklift and/or high-low,
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and personal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite, with a strong understanding of Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.
Physical Requirements:
- Work environment may include sitting at a desk for extended periods or prolonged periods of standing.
- Occasional lifting and moving of boxes or materials may be required.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work in cold (32 to 45F) and wet environment.
- Exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.
- Stretching, bending, pulling, etc.
- Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
- Some travel may be required for inventory-related activities or training sessions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
