Job Description:
The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is searching for Spa & Boutique Coordinators. The purpose of a Spa & Boutique Coordinator is to provide friendly, efficient registration and information to all guests, fellow associates, and visitors. In addition, provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and courtesy to guests and colleagues. Hotel and Spa Experience Required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
- Maximizes revenue and cash flow by promoting spa’s services and spa and boutique retail.
- Takes spa reservations for internal and external guests.
- Interacts with spa & boutique staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Communicates all pertinent information to the Spa Director and Manager.
- Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean and safe facility.
- Maintains a clean and organized spa by monitoring the facilities regularly.
- Calls housekeeping for cleaning services.
- Reports any necessary repairs to engineering.
- Assists in the efficient operation of the department.
- Maintains filing system on memberships.
- Records guests and members participation.
- Solicits guest feedback via guest comment cards and acknowledges guest preferences for future visits.
- Answers the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions.
- Handles all guest complaints with the utmost confidence, grace and concern for their satisfaction.
- Provides courteous, efficient service to all guests and spa visitors.
- Issues lockers, robes & slippers to guests, escorting each guest then to our separate gender retreats/locker rooms.
- Provides guests with a tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering any questions the guest may have.
- Reviews and confirms guests’ appointments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Computer/Window based software experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Customer service oriented
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Positive, courteous and enthusiastic attitude
- Self-motivating personality with good problem resolution skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a cash bank and adhere to all hotel banking and point-of-sale regulations including money drops, exchanging cash and receiving periodic bank audits.
- Adhere to company policies, including uniform and grooming standards.
- Previous experience in Spas, Hotel and/or Retail preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with guest who are in a spa robe
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and during the peak seasons (summer and Festival of Lights - November through January)
- Previous customer service preferred.
- Front Desk or reception experience beneficial
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand long periods of time as well as frequent reaching and bending
- Ability to lift equipment 30 lbs
- Ability to walk up and down stairs.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all type of weather.
