The primary purpose of the Client Service Representative is client registration, scheduling, client collections, and medical records/general clinic support. The Client Service Representative will be responsible for assisting clients with registration, questions regarding insurance coverage, sliding scale eligibility, payment for services, and applying for Ohio Medicaid while providing medical record/general support to the clinic, as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interviewing clients and entering financial information at the time of admission, along with determining their ability to pay and advising the client of financial obligations insuring a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
- Collects and maintains/updates pertinent financial billing documentation in the electronic health record.
- Responsible for processing verification of client's insurance coverage, and pre-certification of services performed.
- Responsible for explaining the company's overall billing system and providing the client with specific information with respect to billings they may receive.
- Assist client with questions regarding insurance coverage or applying for Medicaid/referral to Case Manager.
- Provides designated coverage and backup to other positions on the team as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Ability to type at least 45 wpm
- Ability to answer/transfer calls, courteously and professionally without error, relay verbally and/or in writing messages presented over the telephone
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing with all clinic staff, the public, and clinic clients and their families.
- Knowledge of terminology relevant to the field of the professions represented at the Clinic, e.g. Medical, Psychological, Speech, etc.
