InterLux Interiors is seeking a driven and creative designer to join its dynamic team who relentlessly reject boring. The FF&E Designer will work with our interiors team on high end residential and commercial projects.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of furniture products and materials
- Ability to define FF&E requirements
- Ability to develop appropriate FF&E solutions
- Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Knowledge of procurement options and procedures
- Knowledge of sourcing, purchasing and procurement
- Ability to write FF&E product and installation specifications
- Knowledge of furniture installation practices
- Highly organized
What you'll do:
- Assist in design and development of various interior design concepts
- Provide selection and design of FF&E materials and decorative items
- Provide selection and design of draperies, custom rugs, and various decorative elements
- Assist in selection and specification on interior finishes and elements
- Create furniture layouts and selections for each project
- Review shop drawings for custom furniture pieces
- Communicate with product representatives to attain samples and new material
- Generate and present concepts, image, and presentation boards
- Assist in RFQ process/ pre-purchase order
- Assist in production and tracking of purchase orders
- Coordinate with storage facility and installers
- Supervise installation on-site
- Assist with styling to create a well-curated spaces
Requirements:
What you need to bring:
- 5+ years related experience with FF&E for multi-family, hospitality, and/ or high-end residential projects required
- Bachelor's degree or greater in Interior Design preferred
- Experience in procurement, ordering furniture, quoting, and installations
- Ability to assist the design team in design and production for various project types
- Ability to multitask, work as part of a team and work independently on multiple projects all at once
- Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to maintain good relationships with manufacturers reps, vendors, and internal team
- Proficient in Auto Cad is required
- Proficient in InDesign and Photoshop required
- Knowledge in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Available to travel within the USA
