Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting and Human Resources Manager to join our small but fierce team. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of Accounting and HR operations, including bookkeeping, reporting, regulations and other duties. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth growth of our business.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
2. Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
3. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
4. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
5. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
6. Execute month-end close procedures and postings.
7. Support the Finance Manager in ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
8. Prepare financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting.
9. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes.
10. Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities.
11. Collaborate with the finance department to support overall department goals and objectives.
12. Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
13. Respond to inquiries from the director of finance, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
14. Work with the finance manager to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
15. Develop, enhance, and administer HR policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives.
16. Ramp on new employees and update hiring policies
Qualifications:
1. A high school diploma or bachelor's degree preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounting and HR experience.
4. Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
9. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
10. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
11. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.
12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
13. Human Resources Laws and Regulations: An understanding of employment laws and Human Resources regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
14. Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and contribute Human Resources insights to the organization's overall strategy.
15. Knowledge of federal, state and local employment law
16. Familiar with Quickbooks and Microsoft Business Central.
