We are looking for dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our US team. The core responsibility of this role is to develop new business and find new and relevant opportunities in the US through meaningful outreach via calling, emailing, trade shows and innovative networking strategies. Focus is on the world’s largest retailers.
The ideal candidate will be based in a major metropolitan area with close access to the airport, have experience in B2B sales with inventory-based products to large retailers, and the ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales and business development targets.
- Prospecting and qualifying new leads; position Sekura Global as a credible partner to strengthen our global brand presence.
- Collaborate with internal team to help prospects understand our products and solutions.
- Closing deals through negotiation and by overcoming objections
- Onboard new customers and serve as the point of contact for customers whilst transitioning to the Account management team.
- Support Account Managers with business review meetings and proposals, to grow and support new business.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development to ensure the customer is served appropriately while driving revenue growth.
- Gain insight and understanding of the customers’ needs in order to manage expectations and deliver the best solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years’ corporate sales experience as a business development manager, account manager, sales representative or similar role, selling inventory-based products into large retailers.
- An experienced consultative salesperson with a hunter mentality that has a proven track record of winning deals that can take up to 12 months to close and increasing sales.
- Strong skills around prospecting, outreach, persuasive communication, fact-finding, presentation, negotiation, and closing sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, having the ability to talk to new people and build rapport, and develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Knowledge of the loss prevention industry preferable.
- Self-motivated and results focused with strong time management and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Knowledge of the loss prevention industry, a plus.
- BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or relevant field a plus
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
