Position Summary: The Contract Program Manager will oversee and manage contract-based programs within our HHS customer. This role requires ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that project goals are achieved within the stipulated time frame and budget. The position involves close collaboration with project managers, stakeholders, and other team members to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned programs.
- Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor program progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
- Ensure all program activities comply with contractual obligations and government regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients.
- Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels between stakeholders and project teams.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the program lifecycle.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor expenditures and financial performance against the budget.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet program needs and priorities.
- Prepare and submit regular program status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities, decisions, and changes.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed and submitted as per the contract requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the program lifecycle.
- Implement contingency plans as necessary to address unforeseen challenges.
- Ensure all program deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to maintain high-quality performance.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes.
- Lead and mentor program team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a government or contract-based environment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $157,250 to $212,750 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
