Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting an Assistant Buyer to join our staff in our Materials Management department.
Materials Management effectively and efficiently manages the acquisition, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and processing of the equipment and supplies required for the smooth operation of the hospital.
A typical day will include: Assist in the management of the acquisition, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and processing of equipment and supplies. Assist in buying for specific departments as coordinated with buyer and does purchasing for whole organization in the buyer’s; coordinates with Infection Prevention, OR administration, LTC administration and other departments as applicable. Develops and maintains quality programs and standards; works with buyer to manage AP/MM professional attitude; behaves in a manner consistent with mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested.
Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience: Three years experience performing materials management, purchasing, and inventory control duties
