Summary:
- The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc, or any other non-IT-based project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Serve as a project coordinator working with technical leads on projects.
- Responsible for maintaining Microsoft Project Plans.
- Coordinating meetings, driving action items, and thinking analytically.
Typical task breakdown:
- Control Meetings, gathering tasks from team members, updating project plans, analyzing data from changes made to the project plan (week over-week variances, critical path analysis, etc.
- Be able to take complex information and break It down into smaller, understandable, actionable pieces of work.
Interaction with team:
- This is a client-facing position (internal to Client).
- This employee will need to work with a variety of personalities often with tight deadlines.
Work environment:
- Office environment 3 days a week.
Education & Experience Required:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of project-related or communications experience.
- Previous Client experience a plus.
