Job Summary: The QC Inspector II is an experienced level position responsible for performing all QC inspection activities related to supplier incoming and manufacturing in-process and finished goods.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Perform Lot sample inspection of finished products and sub-assemblies following Quality Inspection requirements and document disposition in QC Database.
· Verification of a complete Device History Record (DHR), including label, for correct and accurate content following Manufacturing Order and applicable Quality Inspection requirements.
· Inspection, acceptance/rejection and documentation of incoming materials and components per QC Inspection requirements.
· Perform 100% QC inspections of finished devices for Manufacturing, as directed.
· Create nonconforming material reports and notify team leaders of quality problems for resolution.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Identify problems prior to packaging and advise management.
· Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings.
· Ability to perform mechanical inspection utilizing tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, weigh scales, and video measurement systems (Keyence Imaging System).
· Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
· Ability to review and prepare accurate records, with good attention to detail.
· Ability to make suggestions for improving methods and quality.
Education and Experience:
· High school education or equivalent.
· Minimum of 7 years on the job training and experience in relevant areas such as Quality Management Systems, FDA Quality System Requirements, and verifying components and finished products meet drawings and specifications using mechanical inspection techniques.
· Strong PC and data entry skills required.
· Experience with excel, access, and word is preferred.
· ERP system (i.e. Great Plains, etc.) experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work in noisy environments.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to bend, stretch and squat.
· Must have good visual acuity and good color vision.
