TITLE: Vice President of Technology
REPORTS TO: President/CEO
Purpose
Oversee the credit union’s technology infrastructure and information systems tools. Develop short- and long-term technology objectives to provide efficient and cost-effective technology tools to the credit union. Steer, manage, direct, and coordinate the planning, production, and activities of a credit union’s information technology department. Serve as head technologist for the credit union.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Accountable for directing, coordinating, and overseeing all areas of the credit union’s technology infrastructure and information systems.
2. Work with the CEO to set the short- and long-term technology goals while providing the management necessary to achieve revenue growth and other goals and intentions of the organization through technology.
3. Steer the long-term strategic direction and implementation of efficient and secure systems that are cost-effective and that meet member services and decision-making requirements.
4. Communicate those goals within the Technology Department.
5. Review and evaluate project feasibility studies based on management’s requirements, priorities, and cost constraints.
6. Research industry trends in technology and ensure that the credit union’s information technology structure and equipment are adequate to meet member needs and strategic plans.
7. Support the credit union mission by ensuring effective member services, development of the IT teams, and continuous improvement of internal systems and processes.
8. Implement the installation and operation of information technology. Implement and connect the equipment required to operate systems.
9. May manage direct reports.
10. Maintain an environment in which manpower training, turnover, compensation, and growth adequately match the credit union’s needs.
11. Hold periodic meetings. Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in service or products. Keep staff up to date on trends and general credit union information.
12. Perform all vendor due diligence activities.
13. All other duties as assigned.
Classification, Incentives, and Benefits
1. Full-time, exempt, in-office, remote, or hybrid.

General Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree required; higher degree preferred or Certified Credit Union Executive certification.
2. Minimum 5 years of financial technology experience.
3. Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
4. Expert with Microsoft Office.
5. Familiarity with financial technology regulations.
6. Ability to travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
