Position Summary
The primary purpose of the Janitorial Team Lead is to perform a combination of tasks to keep office buildings and related facilities clean and in orderly condition.
Responsibilities
- Drive mobile cleaning crew
- Manage and oversee a team of up to eight cleaners at various onsite client locations
- Evaluate, coordinate, and assign cleaning tasks to team members based on need and skill level.
- Inspect all work performed to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations, as well as any established standards designated by local, state, or federal laws
- Act as primary onsite point-of-contact for cleaning team for any questions, concerns, or disputes they may have
- Promptly respond to any customer inquiries and take action as soon as possible
- Ensure proper inventory of supplies and equipment
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Ensure efficiency of work team and make adjustments as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Dust surfaces as directed: furniture, desktops, file cabinets, pictures, ventilation, lights and blinds, etc.
- Spot clean doors, partitions, walls, windows and all horizontal surfaces
- Restock paper supplies, replace liners and empty trash to designated location
- Clean all floors: if carpeted vacuum and if hard surfaces sweep and mop as specified in contract
- Clean restroom: toilets, sinks, floors, urinals, mirrors, and fixtures using toilet brush, sponge, disinfectants and cleaning solutions
- Mix chemical solutions in safe and efficient manner
- Maintain custodial equipment
- Report maintenance problems to immediate team leader
- Other cleaning functions and extra projects as directed by team leader
- Works closely with the senior management team, project managers, other key personnel and contacts for seamless integration of responsibilities and functions
- Comply with all safety rules, standards, and regulations
- Participate in all required meetings
- Adhere to assigned work schedule
- Consistently meets and/or exceeds productivity goals; completes assignments in timely manner; meets competing deadlines; adheres to contractual requirements
- All other duties as assigned for the successful execution and/or completion of various projects whether or not specifically assigned

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- 1-year previous cleaning or related experience
- Depending on service contract, may require documentation of a disability
