The Mississippi State Department of Health has established a new Office of Strategic Procurement and is seeking Procurement professionals ranging from procurement processing and management to leadership and supervisory roles.
Candidates must have experience in procurement, contracts, and purchasing but also knowledge of the guidelines set forth in the Mississippi Code, the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), and/or the Department of Information Technology Services (ITS).
Additionally, procurement staff will support departments in obtaining necessary price quotes in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and will play a crucial role in coordinating the formal bid process by advertising proposals and soliciting bids on various agency projects. In addition to procurement responsibilities, the selected individual will be involved in property management tasks. This includes assisting in the acquisition, accountability, assignment, maintenance, and disposal of agency property.
