The medical receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and their primary duties include: scheduling, triaging, collecting paperwork and insurance information, verifying insurance eligibility, and collecting co-pays. Excellent customer service and communication is imperative. This job requires paid travel to satellite locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, thank them when they leave.
- Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
- Schedule patients appropriately by following policies and procedures.
- Practice urgency at all times with patient's time, as well as doctor's time and schedule
- Double check insurance authorizations and verify benefits
- Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits
- Check patients in and collect necessary paperwork, ensure verification of address, phone number, insurance information, collect copays and balances, and scan insurance cards and driver’s licenses.
- Check out patients and schedule follow up appointments
- Manage patient flow in the office
- Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
- Travel to satellite locations required
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
- General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
