Job Summary
The Buyer will support the purchasing of goods and/or services at the most favorable terms in
accordance with Swissport’s Corporate Procurement Policy.
The expected pay rate is $55,000 - 60,000/yr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Your activities
-
Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased
goods and/or services. -
Processes purchase requisitions (PR) in a timely manner ensuring best quality and cost in
accordance with sourcing strategies -
Train and support end users in the P2P system from creation of PR to conversion to PO and
Receiving and management of invoicing. -
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve any user related issues.

Monitor approval workflows in the P2P system and follow up to resolve identified bottlenecks.

Identify and manage spot buys

Work with Accounts Payable, receivers and vendors in the resolution of discrepancies between
purchase order, receipt and invoice payments -
Support the creation of Vendor Catalogs

Requests, compiles, records and tracks new vendor information

Monitor Back Order Reports. Close and reopen POs as needed

Review spend data to determine best supply source and investigate vendor catalog creation.

Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies

Work cross functionally to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data held in the P2P
system; -
Analyze performance and issues related to Procurement process and systems

Work on projects or matters of limited complexity in a support role

Ensure compliance to Swissport’s Corporate Procurement Policy

Preferably at 1-2years experience in Procurement

Experience utilizing e-Sourcing, P2P, spend reporting and related solutions

Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field (desirable)

Competent in Microsoft Office Suite with skilled user of
