Job Purpose:
Will assist the Lead Chef with the preparation of all the meals served at the Lodge during season. In charge of daily staff meals.
Duties:
Assist chef in his/her duties. Assists in the preparation and presentation of all meals served at the lodge, including employee meals and any guest special requests. Will develop recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation in conjunction with lodge management, which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs.
Prepare requests for kitchen products and other necessary food supplies for approval by the Chef.
Pay special attention to the need for dietary adjustments for guests and staff as needed. Work within established policies regarding safety, sanitation and accident prevention principles. Will perform other duties as appropriate.
Skills / Qualifications:
Previous chef/cook experience is necessary, minimum 1 year. Demonstrated quality written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends. Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations. Ability to maintain accurate control and inventory counts.
We require drug testing, corporate orientation, first aid and CPR training.
