Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including dispensing medications, counseling on medication use, and monitoring for drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
- Conduct medication utilization reviews to identify opportunities for improvement in patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness
- Participate in the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of medications
- Train and supervise pharmacy staff consisting of techs and associates
- Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and provide reports as required
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of acute care pharmacy practice, including medication administration, critical care, and aseptic technique
- Must be willing to learn Best RX for prescription processing and inventory management. Training provided!
- Excellent communication skills to provide patient-centered care and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
