Position Summary
Plan, organize, direct, implement and control all aspects of branch or phone center operations.
Meet or exceed sales and service goals, expand member relationships and external business development initiatives, actively participate in community activities, develop and coach employees, manage risk exposure of the branch and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Solve problems within established policies and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor branch or phone center activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales and new accounts.
- Develop and implement marketing plans for internal and external business development, and oversee and direct staff activities to meet or exceed loan, deposit and member goals as assigned for branch or phone center. Be involved and visible in the community.
- Monitor key products and sales within branch or phone center to ensure profitable and sound business practices and a high quality of service for members.
- Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch or phone center.
- Conduct loan interviews, take applications and fund loans.
- Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations.
- Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.
- Train, develop, direct, counsel and conduct performance evaluations for branch or PC employees. Conduct employment interviews for available positions in the branch or PC.
Recommend placement, supervisory promotions and monetary increases.
- Apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations set forth by NCUA and DFI.
- Ensure that staff receives regular training on security and robbery procedures, BSA and sexual harassment.
- Ensure that staff understand and follow the Credit Union’s BSA-AML compliance program, including but not limited to:
- Filing Currency Transaction Reports- Filing Suspicious Activity Reports- Conducting OFAC checks in accordance with the CU’s OFAC screening procedures
- Incorporate BSA-AML compliance into their job descriptions and performance evaluations.
- Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
- Manage the safety of the branch for members and employees in times of inclement weather.
- Oversee the effective operation and performance of the ATM network and teller cash dispatch/vault. Perform monthly surprise cash counts.
- Assure that the physical maintenance and appearance of the facilities are maintained.
- Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of branch operational activities and understanding of loan practices as would normally be acquired from three to five years of responsible experience in a managerial or supervisory position within a financial institution.
- College degree preferred.
- Heavy emphasis on prior supervisory skills and sales orientation.
- Must be dependable, able to assume responsibility, supervise employees and maintain a cooperative attitude with members and other employees.
- Must be goal oriented.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Work in an office environment, requiring the use of office equipment, such as personal computers.
- Must be able to frequently move around the branch to perform branch operational and sales activities.
- Occasionally work long hours to accomplish tasks as necessary to effectively manage branch activities and meet established goals and targets.
- Must be able to periodically travel to meetings and places of business for existing or potential members or SEG groups by car or public transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,560.00 - $97,795.08 per year
