Summary
Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, and other related rotating equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled repairs and service on centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, and positive displacement blowers.
- Dismantle and inspect pumps, checking dimensions of components.
- Inspect all components for critical fits and run-outs.
- Tag and prep the pump for painting & shipment to the customer.
- Follow processes, drawings, and instructions required to properly reassemble pump.
Requirements
- Good communications skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Must be able to operate forklift, hoist, crane, power tools, drills, band saw, lathe, mills, and other equipment deemed necessary to fulfill duties.
- Able to teardown, inspect and evaluate small-to-large centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment.
- Repair, install and align pump and accessories
- Must be detail oriented in completing work orders, all required inspection forms, summaries and checklist
- Good communication and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Education preferred: mechanical technical school training
- Good and dependable work history
- Applicants must pass an initial and subsequent random drug screening tests.
- Must have a personal set of mechanic tools.
- 3 years (minimum) of experience in aftermarket repair and service of mechanical equipment, specifically experience with pumps and positive displacement blowers.
- Skilled in using micrometers, depth gauges, and dial indicators.
