OPERATIONS ASSISTANT 2 / RECEPTIONIST (FULL-TIME)
Summary: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Operations Assistant/Receptionist will work as a receptionist and provide administrative support for the Enrollment Office
Work Performed:
Greet and receive prospective students, their families, university employees, office or departmental visitors, students, and the public for the Hunter Center, which includes Admissions, Development, Human Resources, and the College of Adult and Professional Studies.
Answers and routes phone calls for the Hunter Center and the Admissions and Financial Aid offices. Checking, screening, and routing Enrollment Services voicemails.
Assists with entering high school and college transcripts into database. Assists attaching and routing scanned documents. Assists entering inquiry forms in database. Processes returned mail. Assists with mail outs. Checks enroll@csuniv.edu and admissions@csuniv.edu email accounts and forwards appropriately. Processes transcripts received in enroll@csuniv.edu and admissions@csuniv.edu email accounts.
Exercises discretion in the performance of assigned duties by being knowledgeable of university and/or departmental policies regarding confidential materials and information and complying with such policies when handling confidential items or providing information to University employees, students, or the public.

Contributes to the overall success of the University by performing other essential duties and responsibilities incidental to the work described or as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Post-secondary education and/or related work experience is preferred
Experience: Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be flexible, positive, and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and work with new computer software systems. Must have multitasking capabilities. Must be able to effectively answer and direct calls using a multiline telephone system. Greet visitors in person and via phone in a professional and articulate manner.
