Responsibilities (Summary):
Hooper Concrete & Block is hiring a Project Manager specializing in concrete and CMU work. We are looking for a smart, motivated, highly organized, hardworking professional to fill this position and join our team. The right candidate for this position will be self-motivated, independent, and able to work under tight deadlines in the fast-paced construction industry.
Specific Job Functions:
- Review customer contracts against project contract documents prior to execution, ensure contract compliance throughout course of work.
- Review Customer project schedule and provide feedback as necessary.
- Review project bid documents, drawings, specs, and vendor quotes for job prior to initial purchase of job. Review purchase orders for accuracy.
- Review equipment releases, approve shop drawings for custom/fabrication items, purchase orders, color selections, and utility information to release equipment timely, accurately, and within budget.
- Develop concise scope, schedule, and fees for projects and additional scope/services requested by clients that yield highly successful projects for clients and the Company.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project plans in the Company’s management information system including project fundamentals, labor projections, financial goals, and quality program planning.
- Communicate regularly with the team on project activities and track project progress on completed work relative to agreed-on scope and deliverable goals.
- Review and document issuances to identify cost events, generate and submit change orders and coordinate required changes to equipment or scope.
- Communicate with Contractors about project progress, including any challenges or changes required on a project.
- Work with team members to maximize profitability while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Work closely with internal team to ensure they are informed of project progress, accomplishments, and challenges.
- Ability to design a complete project, system, component, or process and prepare complete project documents.
- Ensure project documents are consistent with project plans and within project scope and budget.
- Identify problems, evaluate options for resolution including risks associated with each, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Hold team members and reviewers accountable to the Contractors standard for quality.
- Ensure quality control is being implemented on work product.
- Manage the QC tracking system to ensure quality control is properly documented.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
