We are seeking a rock star Back Captain to join our award winning group. Located at the prestigious Fossil Trace Golf Club, our concept is upscale golf course food with an emphasis on scratch cooking. In addition to the restaurant, we have a busy banquet program. As the Banquet Back Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing food prep, ordering, scheduling, banquet execution, and ensuring a consistent quality product.
Our ideal candidate will have proven culinary and management experience. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities. The right candidate will have at least three years of management experience in a similar role, be very detail and goal oriented, and be able to work efficiently under pressure. A great attitude and willingness to learn and grow is a must! Banquet experience is a huge plus. Responsibilities:
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
- Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders.
- Oversee the food preparation and cooking process.
- Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.
- Schedule work shifts for employees.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work well in a sometimes stressful and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
