Aaron School is a private special education school in Manhattan that provides integrated academic, enrichment, and therapeutic services to students with learning differences, with the goal of enabling them to become confident and successful learners. Aaron School is seeking a Director of Clinical Services at its 30th Street location (High School division). Offering an academically rigorous curriculum aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, Aaron employs an individualized approach to ensure student achievement while preparing them for post-secondary educational experiences and professional careers.
Candidate must hold a certification/licensure as a School Psychologist. Special needs population experience preferred.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (Full Time, 12 month position)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member of the Administrative Team
- Oversees the clinical services department
- Oversees and assists with the Team Meeting and Case Study Meeting process
- Develops and oversees the school wide crisis management plan
- Collaborates with other administration on the development and implementation of school wide behavior management system
- Develops a comprehensive course guide and curriculum in areas of Social Development for grades 8-10
- Supervises all members of the related services department (Counselors, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists)
- Facilitates social development groups and individual counseling for students as needed
- Facilitates professional training seminars during faculty orientation and during the school year
- Monitors all students progress in areas of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning and makes programmatic adjustments accordingly
