A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH LAB SPECIALIST
Responsibilities and Duties:

Effectively communicates Occupational Health services to clients in a knowledgeable and competent manner.

Maintain customer loyalty, while increasing Occupational Health customer base.

Continuously expands services that reflect the current market needs/trends for Occupational Health businesses and local agencies.

Develops sales leads and follow up on calls pertaining to new businesses and new markets.

Responsible for having current knowledge of new or any changes in Ohio DOT/BWC standards and effectively communicates these changes to existing Occupational Health companies in a timely manner.

Maintains harmonious relations within and outside the agency in conducting agency business.

Provides support for the Occupational Health team.

Provides and addresses Occupational Health customer complaints and/or issues on an ongoing basis by communicating with appropriate staff to address and resolve these concerns.

Handles Incoming Occupational Health calls and when necessary routes them to the appropriate team member.

Writes internal/external Occupational Health contracts and communicates any changes or updates to the Occupational Health team and appropriate staff.

Attends medical/lab staffing meetings to communicate and educate appropriate staff of any concerns or procedure changes for the Occupational Health team.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH LAB SPECIALIST

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Must have excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail a must
