As a Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager, you would oversee quality and the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent standards. Duties include developing quality team, managing QMS, implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages, and writing reports documenting production issues.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintains ISO certification and upgrades to higher quality standards according to business needs.
2. Manages the Quality Assurance function by developing and maintaining quality systems, including PPAP’s, FMEA’s, product testing and development.
3. Manage PPAP and PFMEA development on all new and existing processes.
4. Works closely with associates on the floor to address all non-conformance and SCAR issues. Organizes and leads a team of quality and production personnel to implement, monitor and close out corrective actions.
5. Point of contact for customers for all quality related issues.
6. Develops and leads cross functional teams to drive and implement continuous improvement using Quality tools.
7. On a consistent, day-to-day basis works with associates on the floor by organizing and participating in discussions, meetings, and training.
8. Manages Quality Control function by directing the activities of the quality coordinator, technicians, leads and inspectors. Mentors’ quality team members for professional development.
9. Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
10. Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
11. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
12. Manages priorities, goal setting, and action planning for the technical support group in accordance with business strategies.
13. Actively participates on Management Team
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Previous quality related experience.
- Four years’ experience with ISO and TS quality systems.
- Knowledge of Design of Experiment (DOE)
- CQE certification a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma or Black Belt Certification is a plus.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Interpretation of machine drawings.
- PC spreadsheet skills and database skills.
- Knowledge of quality systems and processes.
- Knowledge of metallurgical properties a plus.
- Understanding of part prints and specification.
- Understanding of ISO, ASTM standards.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
