Job Description
The Residential Manager manages operations and activities of assigned residential sites for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including staff supervision, acting as agency/community liaison, and directing individualized training, programming and family/guardian support. Oversees the educational/recreational and social activities of individuals served. Supports and advocates for individual needs within an interdisciplinary team. This role includes the supervision of all residential direct support professionals.
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Acts as a liaison, advocate, and coordinator for each individual in assigned homes.
2. Exhibits effective communication skills, fostering open and supportive communication with program participants, families, guardians, and other community organizations and agencies. Collaborates internally with all-level Pillar staff.
3. Responsible for making decisions on a daily basis impacting the personal health, safety and welfare of the individuals residing in the home.
4. Oversees individual’s medical, medication and health issues. Ensures that medication administration is handled according to policies and that all medications are ordered from the pharmacy in a timely manner.
5. Ensures all individualized and behavioral and other required trainings are completed, upon hire and on-going.
6. Works in conjunction with staff to ensure cleanliness and property maintenance of home.
7. Investigates and reports all incidents, according to applicable policy. Takes corrective action as needed.
8. Conducts monthly staff meetings for each house in collaboration with the Director of Residential Services. Holds office hours weekly.
9. Manages the operational budget for the assigned houses.
10. Ensures that client financial documentation is completed accurately and distributes documentation monthly to family members, guardians, and/or concerned parties.
11. Ensures that all monthly data is collected and monthly summaries of progress are prepared in a timely manner.
12. Ensures that all records in the homes contain the necessary and most up to date information on the individuals living in that home in collaboration with the Residential Compliance Coordinator.
13. Transports individuals to and from community locations.
14. Carry on-call phone on rotational schedule; respond while on-call to program needs including covering open shifts and scheduling.
15. Complete other documentation as required.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a human services field from an accredited university; or a Bachelor's degree in any other field from an accredited university with at least two (2) years of experience in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities. Experience may be substituted for education.
2. Minimum of one (1) year previous management and supervisory experience required.
3. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
4. Computer knowledge of Google Calendar and Microsoft Office programs.
5. Must possess a current and valid driver's license with insurable driving record and reliable transportation.
6. Must possess basic knowledge and skills in the areas of nutrition, and basic home management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Residential Direct Support Professionals and others as needed/requested. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training supervisees; planning, assigning, and directing their work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Environment
Must be able to work the required hours to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines. Rotate on call with other Residential Managers.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
