Role Description
The Talent Lead at the Fayetteville Dwarf House supports a specific area of the business under the Talent Director and other designated areas of the business. The primary role is to reinforce and uphold all Pathway operational procedures and restaurant handbook policies on a daily basis. Trainers will also play a role in training new team members in their area of expertise (FOH, BOH, etc.). The Talent Lead be assigned new team members for the duration of their training week, or may support training new team members for single shifts depending on availability and business needs. Leads are expected to train, coach and hold the team accountable continually including retraining existing team members to follow Pathway procedures to achieve the results that their area of the business requires.
Specific Duties
New Team Member Pipeline

Knows how to coordinate schedules and plan the training schedule

Is able to walk step by step through the Training Plan with new hires

Understands the restaurant goals for Talent

Knows where to locate all training lists in Google Drive

Is able to teach at orientation along with Talent Director
Pathway & Food Credit

Must be able to navigate through Pathway seamlessly and explain each training section on Pathway

Create and execute a training plan
-
Knows where/how to track everyone's training progress on Pathway

Must create a plan for a month long training campaign (initial date & campaign subject)
-
Engage Team Members in continuous retraining and focusing on our Mission and Vision

Must film, edit, and publish a NEW training video for the team
Back Office Admin
-
Can locate on Google Drive/update both front & back of the house advancement sheets
-
Knows how to update the monthly calendar in the office (birthdays/anniversaries/2 week notices/etc)
-
Plan a promotion celebration (includes retrieving promotion gift based on leadership level & rallying the team for the promotion)

Create name tags

Put together a promotion gift (Knows that there are different promotion gifts for each leadership level)
Operations

Daily uphold all Pathway procedures

Daily Update ‘Trainer Check In Form’

Daily uphold all restaurant policies with no more than 1 accountability point within a 2 week period (Doing what is necessary to ensure point removal)

Always stays up to date completing weekly newsletter

Uphold Recipe for Service Models (CORE 4, Second Mile Service and Guest Recovery)

Do at least 15 table touch in’s per day (good to do between 2-5PM and 8-10PM or any other time we are slower)

Stay up to date on all new product rollouts and procedural changes

Always working with a sense of urgency
