Prime Engineering, Inc. is actively seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager/Project Manager with specialized experience in US-based transportation, logistics, and commercial markets within the engineering consulting sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in project management, particularly in aviation design, and possess strong leadership skills to drive successful project outcomes. This is a hybrid role in Atlanta, GA.
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal design teams to ensure projects meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Manage engineering design projects from concept to client acceptance, with a focus on aviation design.
- Develop strategic partnerships with teaming firms to secure major pursuits at airports.
- Define project scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements through comprehensive project plans.
- Conduct project meetings to oversee team progress, address issues, and communicate project needs effectively.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project) to manage resources, information, and time constraints.
- Maintain accountability for project budget and financial management.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with scope and client standards.
- Coordinate with project vendors and suppliers as necessary.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within transportation, logistics, and commercial markets.
- Serve as an account manager for strategic accounts and act as the primary contact for projects.
- Develop pricing estimates for proposals and ensure competitive pricing in market responses.
- Create compelling proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture from an ABET-accredited university; master’s degree in related field or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of consulting project management experience in US-based markets.
- Demonstrated client management experience with a history of fostering new opportunities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of aviation design standards including FAA Advisory Circulars, Unified Facilities Criteria, and similar guidelines.
