Overview and Duties Responsibilities:
The maintenance technician will be responsible for supporting, (but not limited to) the following:
· Maintain, repair and troubleshoot machines, mechanical equipment and the facilities which have mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PL Control Systems.
· Fabricate, disassemble and assemble equipment.
· complete minor / major preventative maintenance on company assets.
· Ability to understand equipment, read electrical drawings, schematics, manuals and wiring diagrams and apply information to determined appropriate repair.
· Troubleshoot servo driven and PLC based equipment.
· Troubleshoot bearings, belts, sprockets, gears, chains, cams, pistons, servo motors and be able to replace and install with proper alignment.
· General fabrication and welding skills.
· Lead and Support equipment improvement activities.
· Investigate and resolve day-to-day and long term manufacturing issues related to equipment.
· Recommend and implement layout improvements for better material flow.
· Support safety related improvements related to process/equipment.
· Detail oriented, maintain clean work environment.
· Maintain detailed and orderly records and documentation of maintenance performed through computer based management system.
· Perform general building clean-up and up-keep.
· Participate and help sustain Continuous Improvement efforts (5S, etc.)
· Understand and utilize precision measurement tools with good data techniques.
· Assist in tagging out damaged / in-effective carts from paint-line and/or removing/replacing carts from paint-line, as needed. Ensuring internal transportation equipment such as, forklifts/cherry pickers/electric pallet jack, is PMed as assigned internally; Assisting in general maintenance activities and scheduled PMs
· Communicates daily with maintenance manager and/or upper management.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

· Minimum 5 years in similar industrial maintenance role
· High speed manufacturing experience
· Communicate effective both, verbally and in writing
· Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing enviroment
· Demonstrates essential computer skills
· Work cooperatively in a tem enviroment, or individually
· Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, basic electrical controls (Various voltages of DC, Single phase and 3 phase power) troubleshooting and repairs
· Ability to lift 40 - 50 pounds
· General ability and knowledge of Manufacturing safety plus basic electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, metal machining, electrical control devices, carpentry and mathematics knowledge
