Position Description: Assist the department managers in the overall operation of the department by completing assigned duties, and by serving in the capacity of the department manager in his/her absence of the manager.
- Train and supervise employees. Use verbal and written communication between departments and co-workers.
- Monitor performance to ensure adequate cleanliness and stock level of guest rooms.
- Physically inspect guest rooms.
- Assist with establishing department guidelines, rules and regulations, and training programs.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns.
- Prepare requisitions, reports, correspondence, and forms relative to the operations of the department.
- Operate vacuum cleaners and shampoo machines.
- Clean and dust, including closest shelves, picture frames, mirrors, tubs and showers.
- Lead special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Two (2) years of related supervisory, training or work experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about proper housekeeping techniques, implements, and handling of chemicals.
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform all duties of a Guest Room Attendant, including but not limited to: vacuuming, changing linens, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
