Courage Medicine is seeking an experienced or new graduate CRNP or PA-C to be a new addition to our multidisciplinary outpatient team which provides primary care, addiction treatment, LGBTQIA care, and behavioral health care to the community. Courage Medicine is leading the way in integrative medicine with a diverse team with several locations throughout the Philadelphia area. We are unique in that we provide a one stop location for multiple services such as medication assisted treatment, wellness, primary care, wound care, behavioral healthcare. This provider should be someone who thrives in a fast paced, team structured environment where collaboration is key to successful treatment of those struggling with addiction and homelessness. We meet people where they are in their recovery with easy access to care in a compassionate environment. The individual should be a licensed practitioner (CRNP or PA-C), in their retrospective fields, who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare for patients in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). Clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other healthcare team members including physicians, CRNPs, psychologists, social workers, therapists, medical assistants, and receptionists. Addiction medicine experience is valued; however, is not necessary, we have a great team to provide orientation and guide you to be a successful part of our team!
The CRNP or PA-C will be providing addiction-focused medical care, in addition but not limited to primary care, sexual health, infectious disease diagnosis, and treatment (HIV, HCV, HBV, HAV, STI’s), wound assessments and care, and behavioral healthcare.
● The practitioner works independently; however, in communication with their collaborating physician.
● Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for well, acute, and chronically ill community patients.
● Ability to triage patients and make assessments based on priority in a fast-paced environment.
● Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s medical and age-specific needs to arrive at a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
● Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities; most if not all our patients are on medications for opioid use disorder.
● Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic and psychological stability.
● Monitors the effectiveness of interventions with patient and provider visits ranging from weekly to monthly.
● Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members through case conference participation and by making appropriate referrals.
● Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
● Possesses traits of punctuality, organization skills, and ability to function within a team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (MSN) or physician assistant studies (MPAS)
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program for CRNP licensure or Physician Assistant PA-C
- Current Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Licensure in adult or primary care or PA-C.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) required and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Current DEA license or ability to acquire
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMRs (willing to train).
- Previous experience at an outpatient facility (preferred but not required).
- Provider with acute care experience (ED, ICU) is a plus!

● Salary range: Full-time- $110,000-$135,000 based on experience (willing to train)
