This postion will be for one of our subsidiary companies, Malarkey. Founded in 1956, Malarkey Roofing Products is a US manufacturer of residential and commercial roofing products, with production facilities in Oregon, California, Oklahoma, and Maryland.This will be for our new facility located in Indianapolis, IN.
About Role:
In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain construction project schedules. You will plan and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure the established goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. You should have proficiency and very good working knowledge of Primavera/P6, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), CPM scheduling (Critical Path Methods), Resource Loading, Delay Analysis, etc.
You have demonstrated capital program leadership experience. Effectively, managed integrated team(s) on large complex Industrial Manufacturing capital programs. You have knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including Design Build and Construction Manager at Risk. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all planning aspects for the project and develop / maintain and review project’s Master Schedule.
- Reviewing and commenting on the contract documents for each design, engineering, and construction package and advising the project leadership team of any deficiency.
- Reviewing and commenting on design and engineering schedules as submitted by consultant(s) and ensuring these schedules are following the overall project schedule.
- Reviewing and commenting on construction schedules as submitted by contractors and ensuring that construction schedules are following the overall project schedule.
- Reviewing and commenting on procurement schedules as submitted by Contractors and ensuring that procurement schedules are complying and coordinated with current construction schedules.
- Reviewing and continuously monitoring against approved Master Schedules, the contractor’s major construction progress and ensuring that equipment and manpower are adequate or in case of any shortage reporting the issues to the project leadership team.
- Reviewing in detail the recovery schedules as submitted by contractors and ensuring that manpower and site supervision staffs are adequate.
- Perform regular visits to project sites to validate whether the progress of work on site is following approved schedules, major milestones have been met and reporting deficiencies to the project leadership team.
- Reviewing all daily, weekly and monthly reports as submitted by consultants and contractors and reporting to project leadership team any deficiency or non-compliance.
- Reviewing any claim involving time impact as submitted by contractors and reporting his assessment to project leadership team.
- Reviewing field design changes and trend notices and assessing time impact, if any.
- Advising the project leadership team of any foreseen slippage of progress and corrective actions to be taken.
- Attending weekly progress meeting and monthly executive meetings and participate in preparing the agenda.
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project implementation.
- Assist in the preparation of the project execution plans
- Prepare monthly progress reports and assist the Director of Project Development with monthly executive presentations.
- Reviewing commissioning plans as submitted by contractors and equipment suppliers, and ensuring its compliance with the approved construction schedule.
- Participating with other project management staff in reviewing the Close-Out Reports as submitted by contractors.
- Awareness of current methodologies & tools to manage/analyze develop planning/schedule information related to projects (e.g. MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Good working knowledge of planning/scheduling, EVM, project controls methodologies
- Establishing/implementing/managing the effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout a project
- Monitor the procurement and submittal schedule portion of the project schedule
- Implementing, estimating, and scheduling cost process and procedure of design and construction management programs and determining and incorporating project constraints in planning efforts
- Implementing basic claims avoidance and resolution techniques and generating and recommending mitigation options to correct scheduling problems on construction projects
- Reviewing cost and resource loaded schedules to drive earned value analysis with project schedules
- Key person responsible for overseeing the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) using Procore or similar, and facilitate use of the system with consultants and contractors during the design, engineering, construction, and installation phases.
- Ability to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analyzing trends using numerical and statistical techniques
- Understanding of data management

Required Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Experience:
- 10 years of Planning & Scheduling experience related to engineering and construction
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management
- PMP certification desired
- Proficient with Oracle P6 Professional, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), CPM scheduling, Resource Loading, and Delay Analysis
- Proficient in MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
- Ability to effectively manage and communicate workload with all members of the team
- Effective time management and organizational skills while paying attention to detail
- Ability to identify, track, and complete work tasks in a timely manner
- Strong knowledge of project risk management including mitigation measures
