Stark Truss was founded in 1963 and is a leading manufacturer and supplier of wood components for the construction industry. With over 50 years of experience supplying large multi-family and commercial developments, single family track and custom homes, agricultural buildings. Our construction product line includes roof and floor trusses, wall panels, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), I-joists, light-gauge steel trusses, glulam posts, pre-built stairs, Stark Lam beams and connector hardware.
The Management Trainee will gain exposure to various divisions within the business and could lead to a variety of technical, supervisory, or managerial positions. This is a developmental role and prioritizing tasks, following directions and meet deadlines is a must. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the plant manager and have opportunity to learn various aspects within the business including but not limited to production, shipping, sales, technical design and management.
Compensation: This is a full time position with a starting wage range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday, starting time to be determined
Flexible work hours in excess of 40 hours per week

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Direct and coordinate the activities of employees in the production department
· Plan and coordinate work to meet production goals
· Inspect materials and end products for quality
· Prioritize work based on deadlines or delivery dates
· Supervision of people in a team approach
· Other job duties as assigned
· Proficient in the use of basic hand tools (Hammer, Tape Measure, Miter Saw)
· Proficient in the use of basic office equipment(PC, Microsoft Suite, Copier, Scanner)
SKILLS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Must be able to help with production when needed
· Must be able to accurately follow directions and work efficiently as assigned
· Must prioritize tasks, follow directions and meet deadlines
· Must be able to speak clearly to give clear instructions to others
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Construction or Business Management
· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Work both inside and outside – Inside not completely temperature controlled
· Work around moving machinery
· Work around and with people in a team approach
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
· Reports directly to the Plant Manager for work assignments
