Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Assess patients' medical history and develop an appropriate anesthesia plan
- Educate patients and their families about the anesthesia process and potential risks
- Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia administration and patient responses
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Current state nursing license
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Experience in acute care settings, such as ICU or emergency department
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, such as Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Epic
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members
- Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
